How much do you know about Propyl Dihydrojasmonic Acid (PDJ)?

PDJ is a jasmonic acid derivative and belongs to the category of natural plant growth regulators, not chemical ripening agents.

Main effects:

1. Coloring – Stable effect, bright fruit:

PDJ promotes ethylene synthesis in plants and catalyzes the accumulation of anthocyanins and carotene, resulting in ripe, evenly colored fruit. Compared to traditional colorants, spraying the entire plant with PDJ will not cause yellowing leaves, fruit cracking, leaf drop, or soft fruit – this is much safer than ethephon (which easily causes leaf aging) and abscisic acid (which can only be sprayed on the fruit surface and easily causes fruit drop).

2. Sweetening – Better taste and appearance:

PDJ promotes the absorption of nitrogen and phosphorus and glucose transport in plants, increasing the soluble sugar content and soluble solids in fruits, significantly improving sugar content (studies have shown that sweet crown products can increase sugar content by more than 2°). The vitamin C content of the fruit is also increased, resulting in a comprehensive improvement in taste and flavor.
